4 Ways to Save on Prom

We've all dreamed about the fantasy prom night with the dress that kills, the fancy limo, and the date with surfboard abs. No? Or maybe a similar version, don't lie. Well nowadays prom doesn't have to be a pain for you or your parent's wallets! Here's four ways to save for the big special night:

1.) Don't spend hundreds on a dress for one dance! This isn't your wedding night...it's prom, it's a fancy high school dance. Buy your dress during the off-seasons, like after homecoming or right after prom, to get the best deals and dresses nobody will have at your prom.

I got my dress at JCPenney's for $45!!

2.) Need help with your makeup? Go to your local department store and get your makeup done by the professionals for free! Just make sure to schedule your appointment ahead of time to secure your spot.

3.) Instead of going to a salon to get that fancy 'do, head on over to a local beauty school!
They'll love the practice and you'll love the prices they offer.

4.) For the final piece-carpool with your friends and save big time on the limo fare! This way you can enjoy the experience with your friends and not have to worry about how much money you spent that night.

By using these tips, you'll save money and look fabulous at your Prom! It's a once in a lifetime event, might as enjoy it with no money regrets! (: Okay now that you have tips on saving, here's a challenge to YOU for 2014: after prom or homecoming, donate your dress and accessories to girls' who can't afford it! You can make another girl's dream come true. Some organizations who do this are:  Becca's ClosetDonate My Dress Org, Cinderella's Closet, and The Princess Project

What does your prom dress look like??
Leave a comment down below! I want to hear from you ^_^

Valentine's Day Dress Ideas

Valentine's Day is one of those holiday that you either hate it, embrace it or you completely forget about it completely. If you're anything like me, you don't really care about the hearts of love; you really care about the chocolates and maybe a fancy dinner if you're lucky. Or hey, take yourself out to a fancy restaurant you've always wanted to try. For the special holiday, I picked out some dresses for your diva eyes for inspiration depending on what you're doing on Hearts Day (dinner, eating candy, or going to the club). Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

What are you planning to wear on Valentine's Day or what are you doing that day?

My Diverbo Talent Show: "E.T." by Katy Perry

Last summer, I went to a camp in Madrid, Spain called Diverbo Pueblo Ingles. The purpose of the camp is to teach Spainards English and to build a bond with them. I did the two week program, but there are one week programs as well. This camp was an amazing experience, and I would totally do it again! Here's the website if you want to go to the camp or work for the program: http://www.diverbo.com/en/volunteer-abroad

But the point of this post is to show you guys my talent show performance I did. This was completely freestyled and created in an hour. I love dancing and have recently gotten back into it so be looking for more dance videos from me very soon. Disclaimer: I am an amateur dancer and rusty since I haven't danced in a few years.

Did you enjoy my video? Did you go to any summer camps this past summer that was amazing?

Trash or Keep It?: Kylie Jenner at the Hunger Games 2 Premiere

Kylie Jenner's dress was a disappointment for me with the money the girl has, you'd think she'd have a better personal styler for a premiere that doesn't dress her with Grandma in mind. I love her makeup, which is to die for with the dark maroon lips. Even though the top of the dress is very sexy and attractive, the bottom portion kills it. The bottom cut doesn't suit the wearer, and the boots look like a last minute pick. Personally, the boots remind me of a crow's feet. This outfit would've looked better with a one strap heel so it could make her legs look longer, instead of shorter. Can she even walk properly in this dress? I guess pain is fashion, right? All in all, she did okay at the Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere.
Outfit Rating: 6 out of 10

What's your opinion on Kylie Jenner's dress at the Premiere?

Disclaimer: I do usually like her style ^^ just not this one.

Winter Nautical

January 13, 2014-Nothing special today, besides I got my inspiration from ships sailing out in the ocean and wishing I was there with them. The sun came out a little bit, but a big chunky scarf kept me warm anyways. I've noticed that wearing bright colors on a not-so-pretty day can really brighten your mood and improve your overall day!  That's what happened to me today (: Hope you had a good day as well!

What did you do today? Anything Special?

Sweater Weather Part 1

On January 8, 2014, school started back up and the countdown to graduation began. I can't believe time has past so fast this year, especially this year! But I am excited to see where my adult life will lead and hopefully many more adventures will come. For my first day back in 2014, I wore this sweater from JCPenney's (got for $10-major steal!!) and some green corduroy pants with brown boots. The sweater is super cozy and slouchy, which is what I absolutely love about it; it even feels like little clouds from the popcorn fabric.

Valentine's Day Gifts Depending How Long You've Been Dating

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and you haven’t gotten your special someone something! Fits your situation? Millions of people every year forget the day of love, and at the last minute they rush to the store to buy items that say “I Love You”. But does your girlfriend/boyfriend or wife/husband really want that? No, because it didn’t take any thought into count. Then on the other hand, you don’t want to get them something that can be interpreted wrong or be considered “moving too fast”. It can be hard trying to figure out what to get that special person so that’s why I created this guide to help you pick the perfect gift depending on how long you’ve been dating. Oh, just FYI, men…make sure you always at least acknowledge the fact that it’s Valentine’s Day, big or small; women want to know they are cherished and loved by their man.

1 month: This is the stage where you’re getting to know one another so let your gift reflect that. You’ll want to do something you’ll both love on this Heart Day celebration.
Ideas: dinner & a movie, ice-skating, aquarium date, go on a date to try a new restaurant or ice cream polar, etc.
2 months: Another stage of getting to know each other so you still want to stay away from “I Love You” gifts, but learn more about each other.
Ideas: cd of your favorite songs (or on a cute usb stick), your favorite candy or movie, spend the day doing something the other enjoys (i.e. horseback riding, shooting rifles at a gun range)
3 months: Now you’re finally moving into real relationship territory. If you want to be a bit more lovey dovey, go ahead. You’re looking for a gift that they’ll enjoy and use.
Ideas: stuffed animal, a pillow pet, candles, flowers & chocolates, 3 roses, a pizza shaped into a heart, body mist or lotion, picnic with a beautiful view, snapback or baseball hat, etc
4 months: This stage you want to go the extra mile, but stay away from jewelry (too early!). Go for personal that you know they have a passion for.
Ideas: any tickets (sports, concert, musical), perfume, make-up, latest movie, chocolate strawberries, water, chocolate & flowers, DIY project (like photos on a pillow), sports wear, customized chocolate bar
6 months or more: The time is now to go all sappy and show how much that person means to you. They deserve it for staying with you for this long!
Ideas: jewelry, make-up, box of chocolates, candlelight dinner, cologne, pamper day at the spa (couple spa day?), video game, take her to a ballet or musical, clothes, vacation trip

Better get shopping before you forget again or you forget this guide! Valentine’s Day is the day to show your special person how much you are for them and how thankful you are for them being in your life. So don’t forget to do that today and every day in between!

Casual Sunday Throwback

I wore this dressy, but casual outfit to church sometime in August. I love the girly vibe and the sharp contrast between the baby pink and black. Plus who doesn't love a flattering peter pan collar? To bad it was a tad bit chilly in the church building that day. Of course it would be with my luck! I will hopefully be posting more outfit of the days soon whenever I get a new laptop to work on, since currently I don't have one to begin with.  Have a Great Weekend!

What I Wore:
Skirt- JCPenney's
Shirt- Unknown
Tank- Forever21
Sandals- JCPenney's

Book Review || Fat Chance by Deborah Blumenthal

I just finished reading Fat Chance by Deborah Blumenthal. It's about a fat journalist who writes a column in a newspaper about fat acceptance, and then goes on a Hollywood adventure to get skinny. But on her adventure, she finds herself and comes face-to-face with issues she had been eating to block. This is one of those novels that you can actually learn from and follow the character's example.

The lessons I learned from Fat Chance are:
1.) If there is a will, there is a way.
2.) Face problems head on so you can live a happier, healthier life.
3.) Sometimes the person you are meant to be with is your best friend.

If you do read this book, please let me know your opinion on it in the Comments Section!

*Disclaimer: this book is for 17-year-olds & up readers

New Music & Get the Look: "Still Into You" By Paramore

Paramore has done it once again: put all your feelings into a catchy song! Come on, you know the song... "Still Into You" by Paramore. The song brings together both rock, punk, and pop to create a sound that will appeal to every one, young or old. The best part to me is the music video, which is just amazing by itself. Plus the ballerinas were a nice unexpected touch. Oh my gosh, did you see her outfit? I'm absolutely in love. <333 I've been jamming out to this song for the last few weeks no lie (:

Get the Look: Pastel Jacket (here)
                       Dock Martens (here)

I found a DIY Project to get a similar look. Check it out!
