Review || CoverGirl CG Smoothers BB Cream

Personally, I really enjoy this product because it lightens up my face and is quick to apply. Many people get this product confused because of the main title, but if you read underneath, it does tell you that it is a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15. This BB cream is suppose to have 10 benefits: natural looking radiance, sheer color, all day hydrating, improves skin elasticity, broad spectrum SPF 15, blends effortlessly, lightweight, helps skin feel smooth, covers to help instantly improve skin's appearance, and won't clog pores.

I have been able to enjoy most of these benefits except for the improved skin elasticity, which I haven't noticed a big difference in. I use this product daily with concealer to cover some problem areas. This product is perfect for me because I usually don't try to hide all of my acne since it's a part of me, and I'm not afraid to let people see the real me most of the time. Plus, I don't like heavy foundations on my skin since it's prone to breakouts and acne. I do want to mention that I have to apply powder or a blotting sheet to take away the shine on my face after a few hours. This would be a perfect product mainly for the summer time because it's light coverage. But overall, I like this product and would most likely re-purchase this BB cream again.

Rating: 4 out of 5         Pricing: Around $6

Mellow Yellow

January 22,2013- I'm so proud of myself because yesterday I drove for two hours with my driving school, and I did pretty well, if I do say so myself! At first I thought I would've been really nervous, but actually I was decently calm for the most part. Comment down below what your first driving experience was like. I want to know!

I wore dark navy pants with a white V-neck and a mustard yellow cardigan. For shoes, I wore tall black riding boots to seal this look. Sometimes dressing in a hurry can leave you with an amazing outfit!

Mini Forever21 Haul

I've been having an itch to go shopping for awhile, and I was finally able to go on Valentine's Day. My friends and I went shopping for a bit before heading over to Chili's for dinner. The amazing part about this particular dinner is that my friend and I both got free desserts because Chili's ran out of mashed potatoes that we ordered and forget to tell us that information so the manager hooked us up! We got Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookies. Oh my gosh, if you have not tried it and you love chocolate, then you've been missing out on a chocolate lover's dream dessert. <33 I will be looking for a homemade recipe so I can have this dessert anytime and anywhere ahaha

But when I was at the mall before this amazing chocolate experience, I went to Forever21. I found such good deals that I had to scoop them up while I could. I've been on the hunt for affordable high-waisted jeans and crop tops to go with them. Long and behold, I found them during this shopping trip!

What's your favorite piece out of my small haul?
High Waisted Jeans-$9.80 / Sunflower Crop Top- $8.80
High Waisted Jeans- $9.80 / "23" Crop Top-$12.80

Book Review || Delirium by Lauren Oliver

It's about a world where love is a disease and America has found a cure. The cured and their dystopia have a strict system to allow no love to form. But the Wilds, the ones who live outside the community, are considered a horror story to the Cured because they live with the disease. The Wilds try and wake up the Cured and make them realize that love isn't as horrible as the government tells them. But Lena, a special individual, falls in love with Alex, a Wild impersonating a Cured. Lena's procedure is in 80 days and time is running out. Will she be cured and live the life she thought she wanted or will she take the risk and run to the Wilds with Alex?

I read this book in two days and a half because it was that good! I couldn't put the book down; it draws you in and makes you keep reading to find out what happens next. There is a sequel called Pandemonium, which I can't wait to read as well! This book is full of twists and surprises all along the way!! Definitely an amazing book!

Sweater Weather Part 2

January 15, 2014- Have you seen the latest episode of "Being Mary Jane" on BET? This new show series has grabbed my attention, and I can't wait to see where it goes. If you haven't checked it out, you definitely should.

But back to fashion, I wore this huge cut-out sweater with some plain Forever21 jeans today. My favorite aspects of this sweater are the marbled thread in it and the cut-outs throughout. For shoes, I wore gray boot wedges to dress-up the outfit. (Sorry, I don't remember where I got these shoes from.)

*my sweater is from JCPenney's from the $10 deal; that's why there is a sweater weather part 1 & 2.
What's your favorite type of sweater? Do you like "Being Mary Jane"?

Manicure Monday || For The Twill of It

This is my first Essie nail polish ever, but now I know what all the hype is about! The color payoff is beautiful and changes from purple, blue, green, and metallic. I loved that it wasn't streaky and was easy to apply. Most people don't notice a difference, but I prefer nail polishes that wear down instead of chipping; another reason why I really liked this nail polish. Plus I got a lot of compliments while wearing it this past week.  I will definitely be buying more Essie nail polishes in the future!

What's your favorite Essie nail color? Or do you prefer another brand?

2014 Prom Dress Ideas

I love going shopping for a beautiful prom dress and dazzling shoes; it makes a girl feel like a glittery princess, if I do say so myself. But from tons of trendy or expensive stores, what's a girl to do? Find the hidden, locked-away dresses that are to die for, but don't kill your piggy bank! It's a lot more fun going to prom not worrying that someone is going to have the same dress as you. I found some interesting dresses and websites for you guys to check out for your upcoming prom. (Links are at the bottom of this post)
